A Summer of Spanish, Nature, and Latin America
ISLA Verano is a summer camp where children entering kindergarten through 5th grade explore Spanish and Latin American cultures outdoors. Each week, campers “travel” to a different Latin American country through its music, stories, games, food, art, and traditions, all in Spanish and all surrounded by nature.
Children hike, dig, build, play, and discover, using Spanish to name what they find, ask questions, and share ideas with friends. Learning a language outside feels natural and joyful, and children come home curious, confident, and connected to both the land and the cultures that shaped it.
Roots: Each week, children discover a new Latin American country and the cultures, traditions, and wisdom of its people.
Imagination: In nature, children explore freely, ask big questions, and see the world through new eyes and a new language.
Action: Children grow as bilingual learners and caretakers of the natural world, ready to carry both into the future.

ISLA Verano is a complete outdoor summer camp.
Created for K-5th grade students, this program aims to expand opportunities for language learning and exploration. ISLA focuses on giving students the chance to fully engage their senses while learning Spanish and enjoying the outdoors. A highlight of ISLA Verano is the immersive experience that allows students to dive deep into the richness of the language.

How It Works
UN VIAJE DE AVENTURAS
At ISLA VERANO, our students experience a thrilling adventure by being fully immersed in a world of language and culture. With our theme of “Un viaje de Aventuras,” they will discover the diverse cultures of Spanish-speaking nations while improving their language skills. We transport our students to different Spanish-speaking countries with our program, where they learn and speak the language in a fun, interactive, complete outdoor exploration environment.
Each week, students will be exploring a different Latin American country while also immersing themselves in the Spanish language and the outdoors. Activities include arts & crafts, experiments, writing, science, cooking, and dancing.
