ISLA Impacta is where Latino and Indigenous youth,from 7th-8th Grades and 9-12th graders, turn what they care about into action. Impacta gives them the space, skills, and confidence to speak up, lead, and change their communities on their own terms in Spanish.

Young people come to Impacta with questions about their neighborhoods, their schools, and their futures. They leave with plans to answer them. Through hands-on projects, community visits, and conversations with local leaders, youth learn how decisions are made and how to make their voices count,in their heritage language.

Roots: Youth explore their identity, culture, and family stories, and grow the pride and resilience to face challenges with strength.

Imagination: Youth map the strengths and needs of their communities and dream up bold solutions,from a social justice project to the challenges faced by farmworkers, and the exploration of innovative social impact ideas. 

Action: Youth launch their own small businesses that give back, lead advocacy campaigns, and present their ideas directly to community leaders and elected officials.

What youth do at Impacta:
